To my knowledge, for scraping of specials to work, all of the following need to be true:
-TheTVDB needs to have the specials listed.
-The scraper's episode map needs to point to these episodes on TheTVDB.
-The episodes need to be named with S00E## as the episode numbers.

It sounds like you've got the last point covered. The issue might be one of the other two.

Does scrapping of special ep only works with TVDB?
All of the main episode are named after and scrapped correctly with anidb.

I hope there is a way to scrap special ep with anidb.
