My experience was pretty painless with Comcast, as well.
They had to try a few different things before Premium/Cable channels were working, but now it works like a charm.
So far I'm only using it with WMC, but I might venture out and try MythTV if someone could point me in the direction of a Windows build...

forgive me if this is the wrong place for this, I am just looking for clarification I am looking into the possibility of purchasing the HD HomeRun Prime to use when I make the switch to Forodo later this year to take advantage of the PVR functionality. I understand that the Premium channels will not be recordable, I am with time warner, and the reason I am looking into this product is to be able to record HD channels like ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN U ect. Is this the road I should be going down or is there another alternative that I am missing? Thanks all.

My daughter has TWC and a Prime. Running on WMC perfectly. I built her HTPC and was there for the initial install done by TWC and a self install when she moved to a new home. The TWC install had some hiccups as the installer had never seen a prime or an htpc setup. It took him a few phone calls but was done in one ibis it. My daughter's service was local only, cost her only a few bucks. A couple if months ago they called her and said that they had made changes and she would be receiving about 180 channels and they couldn't block cablecard from receiving them. They just wanted her to know if she would pay 4.95 a month to lock in a contract at that price, so how, as long as she doesn't change her service she pays 4.95 a month. Needless to say, she is very happy with TWC now.

New user, previously using Windows 7 Media Center Edition.
Honestly the setup of this thing with an EPG and the HD HomeRun Prime is absolutely a complete pain in the ass that I have still to get working. I can do the uPNP connection no problem but getting live TV working and a guide seems to be absolutely the worse configuration out there and not a single comprehensive guide out there. Any help would be appreciated I want a single PVR Head/Client with all 3 tuners configured for XBMC on OpenElec with a guide for Comcast Philadelphia area. I have searched the OpenElec forums I have tried the XBMC forums been through the TVHeadEnd configuration and still nothing, Anyone have a link to a end to end guide for configuring the XBMC with an HD Homerun Prime 3 tuner cable card tuner with an EPG?

I'm using an HD HomeRun Prime (for comcast cable) with a MythTV backend, using schedulesdirect for EPG . That's working pretty well, I can record pretty much all the channels I'm subscribing to, except for one (unfortunately important) thing - live tv is constantly buffering, it's unwatchable right now. I have no problem streaming previously recorded shows though. Using the same setup with an actual mythtv frontend instead ov xbmc+pvr has no issues whatsoever with the live tv, so it's got to be something with the xbmc pvr configuration/code.
