Makes sence, thanks for clarifying. Just out of curiosity tho, would it be plausable to add an "updategui" bool to Foo.SetFooLibrary?
For example, that script sent 5880 update queries, if it was possible i could have told it to only update gui on the last 1.

From what I understand from the need another solution would be to accept an array as xxxId.
But this would be very specific to playcounts synchronisation. (But well this is a common need since most users don't have mysql central database).

yea, an array/list would be great. It would not only be limited to xbmc 2 xbmc sync either, I have a script i made to restore my playcounts from trakt when my server died (along with my mysql db)
