Currently trying to get working mysql running on whs 2008, Ive followed this guide xbmc mysql after Ive placed the advancedsettings files in the user data folder and then re imported my video library I have no TV Shows / Movie options on the main menu, I then go into files and try to set content then it asks if I want to refresh all data within path which I click yes to but nothing happens

When I type in show databases; in my mysql command line i get the following



Isnt this correct

Any help on how i can get this working?

Just done the following...

Moved the advanced settings.xml out of the user data folder (these then brings back the tv/movie libraries on the main menu

Reset XBMC

Exported video library to separate files

Close XBMC

Placed advanced settings.xml back into the user data folder

Load XBMC back up, tv/movie libraries have disappeared from the menu

So what do I do now? If I go into files and try and set content for each my movies and my tv shows it asks if I want to refresh info for all items I click yes and nothing happens

I noticed you are using MySQL 5.6. On the guide it does say:

NOTICE:
Users are reporting issues with MySQL 5.6. Use MySQL 5.5 instead.

Just noticed that myself as well lol, will uninstall and try 5.5 and see if that work

Yeah Ive got it all working now, is there any tricks, tips or tweaks that can be applied to Mysql?
