I turned on XBMC and all of a sudden all the skins I installed suddenly say they are broken and uninstalled them... I only have 3 skins to choose from which I dislike.
is there a reason why they are broken and how can I repair it?/

I can only assume you are running a Frodo build, which is still in testing - majority of skins aren't compatible, check the skins threads for updates and compatible builds.

well I installed fordo but then reverted back to 11 ...

Do a force refresh on the repository and all the Eden compatible skins should be available again.
