I have changed the device to static IP, and i have changed my NAS to static IP.
I have used a script on this thread which switches ethernet off/on when data is lost, this helps with the fault but does not fix it. When the ethernet drop out occurs you can just wait a few seconds then select the film again and resume without exiting XBMC.
Last night i changed the scripts IP address from my router to the NAS drive. The film played for 1:55hrs before cutting out, being that far into it i thought i had cracked it.
I think if i increase the buffering of xbmc a bit more the script may fix the problem by switching ethernet off/on whilst being in the buffer.
What is the maxium buffer size to set in advancedsettings which affecting the performance of the player ?
