Hi
I am running xbmc frodo on ubuntu. I have a problem with duplicated music files in library mode which wont play. I would like to completely delete the music database and then reinstall it, but I cant work out how to do it. I am not very experienced in linux so not sure where to go. Please can someone help? Cleaning the library has made no difference.

delete your MyMusic#.db

Where # is the current number (usually highest is current) version of the database file.

You will need to rebuild the library though as this nukes all entries (files are not affected FYI)

I had already tried to find the userdata folder ( $HOME/.xbmc/userdata ) without success.
I will have another go

The $HOME/.xbmc/userdata assumes your not logged in as root

try

Code:

/home/yourusername/.xbmc/userdata/

If your logged in as anything other than normal user.
