I had one port on one of the six backplanes faulty. I RMA'd it and had a free, new replacement within a couple weeks. Also ordered a spare for future use.

I would still recommend it. There's nothing really that can touch it at that price-point - $400ish CAD - for a 24-bay solution. A case like this should serve a person well for many years to come.
