Before I upgrade to frodo, using eden so far and not having any isssues at all,
In order to be able to see my music's library in file mode(fanart view) front covers should i copy my userdata folder over the new one in frodo?
Will this preserve my current setup in order not to do it all again from scratch?

You should always just backup your userdata/addons then just update over the top.
