I love the feature of using outside programs to send links to xbmc and would like this to be explored more.

Currently I use
Play to xbmc in chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detai...kpakkebden
Tube To TV in chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detai...ehdancpgme
and yatse on android http://yatse.leetzone.org/redmine/projec...roidwidget

I would love there to be a web plugin that can send any flash video(or at least attempt to) to xbmc. Currently all of the web browser (chrome/firefox) plugins that ive found only do youtube.

has anyone come across what im looking for? It would have to try to find the correct url and then send it to xbmc. This way you could go to a website the we have xbmc addons for and remote send the link. Sometimes its easier to use the website if your at the comp already.

Click-to-flash for Safari will do this. I'm not sure if it's been brought over to other browsers, or done with similar add-ons. Basically it attempts to load an mp4/h.264 friendly stream from the site, and then sends that to XBMC via the AirPlay (wiki) feature.

I created a modified version of this addon to include more file formats that can be sent to XBMC. The download to my version can be found here: http://michaeltunnell.com/projects/22-xb...mt-edition

I am also working on another project to do this that works separately from this addon but is much more powerful. That project is not complete yet but hopefully it will be soon.

My current project allows files to be sent from 10 different flash video websites, all direct links to any XBMC supported format and also local files from a file manager.

Nice, but how about getting that code onto github and allow others to test/contribute?

I will...I am open sourcing it for the main reason of making it better but the project is not ready to release yet. I just wanted to get impressions from people to see if it was worth releasing or not. I think it is awesome but if no one else did then I wouldn't bother but plenty of people on various sites have shown interest so I am absolutely releasing it as soon as possible.
