plugin permissions

I've been having problems saving some settings with most of the plugins I've installed in RaspBMC. After much investigation I found the cause of the problem. Many plugins have been installed as user `502` and group `dialout` instead of the expected `pi` and `pi`, respectively. To fix the problem I had to ssh into the Raspberry Pi and chown all the files and directories associated with the problem plugins. While that got things working for me the real question is why are plugins that are being downloaded and installed via the built-in plugins "store" being installed as user `502` and group `dialout` instead of the expected `pi` and `pi`, respectively?
