I was curious what the current state of XBMC's DB is in relation to having multiple box's running "in sync"
I haven't played around with this in months, but i remember last time i tried I couldn't get 2 linux box's to access one db file at the same time without issues (however this might have been independent of XBMC since i jerry-rigged my setup with symbolic links over network shares and a NAS)
anyway, i was curious if this is still "unsupported" .. or maybe its in the works for next "stable" build to be able to have a master which controls the db and then slaves that just access the db over the network ? (the thumbnails/fanart could be stored locally on each slave to improve thumbnails/fanart loading latency) .. it would be nice if the master/slaves didn't have to be based on the same build (ie, win32/osx/*nix) however i understand this creates a lot more problems (specifically filepath differences between osx/*nix & win32)
i know there are plenty of people out there on the forum that have multiple box's in their homes and i was also curious how they go about having their libraries be "in sync" with one another too
