Is there an addon that will run on a timed interval, and refresh the information for the video library?

What I'm looking for is the equivalent of a "reload" on all video items (use existing .nfo, do NOT refresh from internet), and only reload if the information within xbmc's library is different than the .nfo of the actual item.

does such a thing exist?

thanks for the reply.

I took a look at the forum, but unfortunately it doesn't do what I need it to do, which watch for modifications. (says in the description that it ignores modifications, and just looks for new files).
