basically you want to put the zip file anywhere on your apple tv as long as its somewhere that xbmc can see.

because once the zip file is on there, you want to go to

settings
addons
install from zip

and that is when you want to browse to tell xbmc where your zip file is stored.

sorry i cant help more on actually getting the zip file onto your atv2 but ive never used one.
