When I close the controls, the black bars disappear again. And it's only with those controls/situation,
nowhere else do the bars suddenly appear.
It happens in both fullscreen, and windowed mode. Using a box with Intel HD Graphics 4000, with the latest drivers.
I think that might be a driver issue and not xbmc, worth testing both just in case

Ah thanks! Yes, probably driver issue - I updated XBMC and the driver at the same time today.
