Problem installing XBMCbuntu. Live CD won't boot
#1
I have inserted my live CD and booted the pc from the CD.

Then I get a lot of text on the screen about devices plugged in and after a long pause I get:

udevd[110]: timeout: killing '/sbin/modprobe' (then a load of incomprehensible characters)

then I get nothing. This cycles until I switch off the PC.

Any help?

EDIT:
I am installing the "xbmcbuntu-12.00.Intel-AMD.iso" (but I have tried the Nvidia just in case)

And I am using:

the ASROCK 350M1 (http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/E350M1/) which has the AMD 350 APU and Integrated AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics.

I have tried to run the live "CD" from a USB stick without the HDD or the CD drive plugged in an the same happens.

Today I am going to try the Ubuntu 20.10 live CD and see if that works.

Which ISO?
Computer specs? (particularly GPU)

Ok I have managed to get further. By disabling the IDE combined mode in the BIOS I have got past that bit.

Now it shows XBMC with the four squares undeneath. After a while the screen just goes black. But a signal is still being put out as the screen does not go into standby

EDIT:
Just before the screen goes black I see this:
microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd.bin

I have found various fixes saying I need to install some packages, but how do I do that if I can't boot up in the first place?
