Is it Intel graphics? what driver are you using?
There has been issues with the latest Intel drivers causing corruption on the XBMC GUI but I thought that was limited to the Intel Graphics HD drivers which I don't believe the Atom uses. If you can find older driver versions then perhaps try the last couple of previous versions to what you have currently.
