I was just updated to 0.5.8g and the 'Channel Type' set to directory is still putting only one video in the channel when it did the initial channel scan. I did discover an issue, under 'Tweaks' if you have the 'Media Limit Per channel' set to 'unlimited' it will scan in only one video. Once you drop the media limit to a 1000, it will scan a 1000 videos, so it seems having it set to unlimited is breaking the directory channel function. After you change it from unlimited to a 1000 (or another number) you do need to 'force channel reset on next start' to see the change happen.

Update:
it looks like it doesn't matter how many videos you set for the actual channel itself in the configuration, if the setting in Tweaks is set to a 1000 it will do up to a 1000 videos (I didn't count them to be sure, but it was quite a few in the m3u file) even though you set the channel to only 25 videos.

Great find, thx for sharing, i set mine to 1000 and directory channels are loading again. So yes confirming it is broken when media limit is set to unlimited.
Wanted to share this link coz it might be useful for some of you (not sure if it was posted before):
An archive with thousands of official channels logos from around the world in PNG format: https://github.com/3PO/Senderlogos

I had this issue, but I pressed the x key (windows shortcut key for stop) and then it exited fully. Then I reloaded PSTVL and was able to exit it normally. It seems to only happen with streams, and not local media I'll post a log in bit.

Here's my log http://xbmclogs.com/pln2rnifg

I think our issues are two different things. I ended up uninstalling pseudotv, reinstalling and clearing all the caches. This seemed to fix the issue and also it updated pseudotv.
Hi All

I have Mediaportal as a tv server and Kodi as a front end, I installed the plugin and I allowed it to do an auto scan but the auto scan takes for ever... so far 3 hours....is it supposed to be this slow?

Per

Empty cache w/ Find Missing enabled, roughly 3-30s per channel
Full cache w/ Find Missing enabled, 1-5s per channel

Empty cache w/ Find Missing Disabled, roughly 1-3s per channel
Full cache w/ Find Missing Disabled, 1-2s per channel

Read FAQ, troubleshoot your system and setup to determine slowdowns. Understand the limits of your hardware.

No configuration should ever take that long...

Cool thanks....I shall RTFM and retry Smile
Is LiveTV integrated in the in-app channel manager yet? When I choose "LiveTV" as channel type and then "PVR", and then click on "browse" I cannot see any of my TV channels but only the normal media library file sources (movies, TV shows).

I read the MediaPortal tutorial linked on the first page but it is using xml file based configuration not the in-app manager.

You need to have PVR:// as a video source, watch my youtube video "Video Sources".

Next build will offer automatically creating kodi video sources.

Cool thx, will try it!
How possible do you think it'll be to incorporate something like this into pseudotv live with data actually filled out by the software.

Afternoon Luna

I have upgraded to the latest version of PTVL (0.5.8G) and i still have the same issue where when the system is idle, the screensaver nor the power down when idle work anymore. Please see the following log. This is one log, starts at 12:34pm. I never touched the system but the screensaver never started after 3 minutes, nor did the system shutdown after 60 min. Around 5:30PM I uninstalled PTVL and then 3 min later being idle, the screensaver started.

Please let me know if there is anything else you need.

I don't follow, Start by explaining what you want, and what is happening.

Because Ive already checked PTVL'S screensaver and it works fine.

Powerdown when idle? PTVL doesn't offer this feature.

Also, where did you come up with 3mins for the screensaver? it's set for 5mins idle, never mentioned 3...
