Not entirely unrelated, but, does anyone use a second XMLTV Grabber in conjunction with MC2XML? I'm looking at the -easiest- way to pull US listings from my SD account generate a truncated (3 day) xmltv and merge it with a 2nd xmltv file from a second location for additonal EPG data.

First utility i've found doesn't allow a truncated listing pull.. so PTVL would take forever to parse the enormous XLMTV file, not ideal.

Sorry to go OFF topic, but this really is a question surrounding PTVL's EPG function and how/where to pull the XMLTV files from.

Just so u know ptvl is setup to use more than one xmltv file... So u don't have to merge...

As for 3 day limit most grabbers offer some type of configuration for days grabbed.

I hate to show my ignorance once again, but could you elaborate on how to use multiple xmltv files please.

Add to my list... what categories are in your XMLTV file?

Open your xmltv.xml in a text editor search "cat" and let me know... otherwise it might be left out of genre colors... Please be exact in your naming.

  Sports
  Children
  Kids
  News
  Comedy
  Drama
  

Also feedback needed, Should: Movie, TV, InternetTV, Youtube, RSS, Music have its own color?
or should it use the genre color scheme for each titles genre?

So I spoke to the wife about this question. I think those of us who are setting up ptvl know which is Youtube, RSS, Internet, etc. but other TV users in the house may not just know. At least in my wife's opinion this type of color coding would be an easy way to distinguish channel types.
