[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
thanks

that fixed the issue with channels not being generated but still have the issue where the playlists are out of date, will send you a new log.

Its generating a channel with episodes more than 2 days old even though they dont appear in playlist when i open it manually as it should only display ones that are 2 days or newer. It seems like there being cached somewhere other than the pseduotv addon data folder.

Example Playlist

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<smartplaylist type="episodes">
<name>Latest TV Episodes</name>
<match>all</match>
<rule field="airdate" operator="inthelast">
<value>2</value>
</rule>
<rule field="dateadded" operator="inthelast">
<value>2</value>
</rule>
<limit>100</limit>
<order direction="descending">dateadded</order>
</smartplaylist>
Just tried out the direct plugin thing from your sample code. Gets hung up on building the channel.

May I ask... when was the last time you updated pseudotv live??
I don't have the exact date of the last zip file I downloaded(at work). I have 0.3.6, and updated it once after the first update push you made. I changed some things with my network so my hd homerun isn't being seen, but started from scratch and just used genres and donor features. This locked up xbmc(in programs view) and I have to force close. I will update to the latest and try again, but the 'donor import failed' error occurs while still in the settings screen.

Are you editing a custom playlist? or the playlists found in script.pseudotv.live/cache, Because you can't edit the ones in the cache folder.

Playlists are in the xbmc userdata playlist folder. Something just seems to have changed with 0.3.6 the way it reads these playlists where i am using airdate/date added rules. Other playlists where I dont use these rules are fine.

If you have time and have added new episodes today, try the example playlist i posted with pseudotv.

I really haven't touched that code... so you are sure it works on 0.3.5 and you are force channel resetting on 0.3.6

Yes definitely works on 0.3.5 as i have gone back to it now (it was a copy i had downloaded at the start of the month). I have pseudotv set to reset every time and manually deleted the cache folder but every time it generates the same episodes that were on on Friday night even though going into the playlist manually doesnt show these as the rules dont allow them to.

Okay, must be something wrong with the caching, go into ptvl settings, misc debugging and disable system cache.

force channel rebuild then let me know...

Selected "Force channel reset on next start" and "Enable System Caching" isn't enabled, still have the same issue unfortunately.

Wow, don't even see how that is possible!

I just went over every change I made since 0.3.5 and none of them have to do with BuildFileList except for the caching feature...

Until someone else has this issue, i'm going to ignore it (for my sanity! sorry!). I spent the better part of the day chasing down donor import errors, which I can't reproduce BTW...

If you figure the problem out or narrow it down please let me know.

::Update::

there is a chance the disable cache didn't take!
I'm pushing new code that will definitely disable the cache, try again after update...

Okay try new code, this time disabling cache should work...

That fixed it, thank you!
...not quite the victory I expected...

Code:
FATAL: script.pseudotv.live-TVOverlay: FATAL ERROR: Unable to find any channels.
               Please go to the Addon Settings to configure PseudoTV Live.

0) installed USTVnow plugin (Luna v9.9.9) yesterday
1) refreshed PTVL code from latest git (copied 2014-04-01_00h41)
2) deleted .../Userdata/blah.blah/cache folder
3) Settings: AutoTune enabled/ Find USTVNOW enabled/ Donor Features enabled (that's it)
4) attempt to build USTVnow-only file for testing
5) FATAL...
6) reboot to get a clean LOG.

Surprising, but all I got was Nuthin. Not a sausage.

Am I misinformed, in believing AutoTune will build the free channels from USTVnow ?

I guess next is to attempt manual build in settings2.xml from example on page 1.

First of all, thanks for a great addon.
I'm having a bit of trouble trying to add some playlists from youtube.
Anyone with a bit of experience, does this look correct?

<setting id="Channel_57_type" value="10" />
<setting id="Channel_57_1" value="PL55713C70BA91BD6E" />
<setting id="Channel_57_2" value="2" />
<setting id="Channel_57_3" value="100" />
<setting id="Channel_57_4" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_57_changed" value="False" />
<setting id="Channel_57_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_57_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_57_rule_1_opt_1" value="Youtube 80s" />

It usually plays 1-2 songs but then PseudoTV Live crashes and im left in the XBMC player without any access to the PseudoTV Live EPG/GUI.
Using XBMC Gotham Beta 3 w the latest PseudoTV masterbuild (from the OP).
PTVL misbehaving with USTVnow channels...

Hi Luna

Bzzzzzt... it ain't happening. Manually built USTVnow channels from posted example (page 1), started PTVL, scrolled through EGP to new channels (11-17), got CBS to run, moved to CW... froze the NUC. Power button to the rescue.

So here's a whopping 3 mb Debug LOG to tell you all about it.

Just for curiosity, I ran USTVnow plugin directly, and all but ABC channel ran successfully. They may have trouble at the head end.

Please show me the error of my ways Huh
