I am seeing same error on my openelec with the new 5.0 version as well:

You're being a little vague about your channel details... the time.strip is called for chtype 8 which is livetv and requires a properly formatted xmltv file.
Unless your I love lucy channel is a livetv channel you might have improperly configured the setting2.xml
