Hi guys, just got an amazon fire stick for xbmc on the bedroom tv. PTVL works really well, however I am having an issue with the remote mapping.

The remote only has a few buttons so no info button. I am trying map the context menu button to the info function in PTVL so I can get to the new sidebar in PTVL. But I would like to keep that button mapped to the context menu everywhere else.

I tried mapping the context button to info function under fullscreen video but no dice. Do you guys know what I should map it under in the remote.xml?

EDIT: Further research showed that what I'm asking for is the window name or id# for the ptvl video screen. any ideas how I can find out?

Check out the keymap editor in xbmc. Makes mapping buttons so much easier than editing their xml files.

You might then want to map the context button to the info button through that and see if it helps. But you can easily play around and figure it out in the keymap editor.

Thanks Gavin, but I don't have an issue with mapping the buttons in general. I'm just trying to map the info button only on specific screens. I just need to know the window id for pseudo tv's video screen.

For instance if I map the menu button to context under the global section in the xml, the menu button always opens the context menu. But if i also map it to info under the section "fullscreenvideo" (the window id) it opens the info screen when a full screen video is playing, but continues to open the context menu everywhere else. This is what I'm trying to achieve.

Unfortunately this doesn't work in pseudo tv because it appears that the script displays a different window on top of the full screen video, and I would need to map the button for that window. I just don't know what that window is.

Perhaps Lunatixz can shed light onto this.
