Thanks for taking up my suggestion earlier about including EPG data from Kodis PVR back-end
It works great, the only thing is the channels are out-of-order compared to what the PTVL EPG says and the channel that actually plays (did a fresh auto-tune after installing 0.5.8a).
Using a HDHomeRun Dual. I know the PVR back-end has it's own array for channel numbering, and i'm guessing thats what might be confusing things.
Other than that, the EPG tiles are populating nicely, along with descriptions, so great work!!
Thanks.
out-of-order... not sure I understand (it's in sequential order).
are you talking about epg data? out of sync?
As above, the EPG says one channel, select it, and another starts playing.
This only happens on the LiveTV (PVR) channels. Have done a fresh auto-tune once installing the new ptvl update 0.5.8a.
Using OpenELEC 5.0.1 and TvHeadend for the PVR. I suspect it's the strange channel ordering Kodi's PVR back-end has (an array i think) is causing them to be out-of-sequence.
I had the same problem when manually configuring channels in older ptvl using pvr://, i had to find the (pvr) channel number against the PVRs channel numbering scheme which i think is just an array of each channel it finds when LiveTV is tuned. So when PTVL requests say (pvr) channel-7 which is labelled as CBS in ptvl, the content from another channel starts playing (whatever channel is occupying that position in the pvr's channel array).
It's tricky to put into words but hope i've explained it better I havent checked the code, but thats what i think is happening..
All other channels work fine, it's just the Auto-Tuned LiveTV ones using the new feature.
Thanks!
