[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
The in-app manager is just fantastic! This is really great work! Just found all the advanced channels options and started playing with it. Awesome!

Anyways, here's another small ISSUE:

A YouTube channel might contain videos that are not available in my country (eg. due to copyright). PTVL will then display the YouTube error ("This video is not available in your country.") and get stuck in the "Loading channel" state. Eventually it will crash, then show several "notPlayingCount x" messages and open again.

Apart from the crashing it would more user-friendly to skip directly to the next YouTube video in case the next video can't be shown.

I really need to get back into this. Was awesome 2 yrs ago when I used it and sooo much new stuff. I stopped because the guide was unbelievably slow and laggy. My media is behind a 8 yr old NETBOOK acting as a server. Could this be the culprit of my lag-iness? I will tray again very soon and post logs and hopefully w/ faster results.

Of course I did. Any other ideas?

- Are you using a different scraper than before?

- Have you ever created/edited custom nfo files (or backed up to nfo files via kodi)?

- If so, when adding to your library did you specify to scrape from the nfo files or from the internet?

- You can always go into the context menu and "Scan for new content/update library" or go into files and set the movie file source content to none, save and then set it back to Movies. This will refresh the info for all items in that source.

Same exact library, same scraper. I think it pulls the available channels based on what the metadata of each media file has, and ive checked to see if the missing studios are listed on the details of certain movies, and they are there. For example, I have just about every Marvel Studios movie, and every single pixar film, and those are the studios listed on the movie details, respectively, but those studios, among others, do not show up when trying to configure my channels.
@jaochoo your logs are missing debug information.

Read first 3 posts. At the very least enable debugging and post a log

If you go into the library and sort by Studio are they missing there as well, or just within PTVL?

If they are working fine elsewhere perhaps you could create a smart playlist in kodi/xbmc and use that to create your PTVL channel.
Okay, I re-installed ALL dependencies from the first post which then allowed me to update to 58d, but then it stopped loading my my channels and got locked up while saying something about "file lock" so I then removed script.module.myconnpy and the channels still wouldn't load (did remove "file lock" though) so I decided to start from scratch on my channels and deleted my settings2.xml and added my first 25 channels and did a full restart to make sure that everything would load correctly, and they loaded but now i don't have any logos in the epg or the channel bug, I compared all settings to another system (not updated on the other system yet) and all settings are the same so I added a rule telling it to show logo on a channel and still nothing, I Also changed the location of my logos to see if that would help but to no avail so completely uninstalled the addon and deleted the PTVl folder in addon_script then rebooted my pc and re-installed PTVL and built my channels all over again but still no logos

sorry I tried to use pastebin but it said my file size was to big I had to use dropbox
xbmc.log

any help would be great thanks
I am finding myself very overwhelmed by this add-on. Ive been trying for hours to get this to work with the Mythtv backend in XBMC. I allowed it to auto populate and it got all the channel numbers wrong...even worse, it took over an hour and added a bunch of youtube content and stuff that I did not want. I just wanted to setup my LiveTV pvr stuff and then a few channels.

So far, it keeps telling me no channels are configured. I am testing this out with two Live TV channels and its not working. There are no guides available. This write up on the first page says that PLTV can pull EPG data from the PVR backend....I have yet to see this function.

Where do I put the xmltv file its asking for. Its looking for one named "PVR" I renamed the one I generated to PVR and it still doesnt work.

Can someone please help?

Auto tune is broken, so if you are having problems that's why. Just manually build with the in app manager.
PseudoTV Live just went from being my favorite addon to my most hated!!! Absolutely horrible update... Why is autotune broken?? When will it be fixed??
What is select matching IDHuh Why?? I had 151 channels before update and now I have 3. Why??

For now use the manager to manually add them, it's better anyways.

As someone who had an eeepc and loved it to death, let me say this could very well be exactly the issue due to limitations in the atomic processor or how much ram you have installed. That said, have you tried it lately? A lot of changes have been made to optimize things so you could be pleasantly surprised.
