[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
0.59 Auto Start is a little wonky for me. I'm running Kodi on Mac 10.10

I filed a github issue: https://github.com/Lunatixz/script.pseud.../issues/29

Auto Start works when I launch Kodi. If I then exit/close PTVL, it appears to re-trigger the auto-start again shortly after I've closed it. At this point, if I am already viewing content in another Kodi plugin or something, PTVL auto-starts on top of that and I am unable to cancel/close, and I end up needing to force-quit Kodi.

This makes Auto-Start unusable for me, as I cannot prevent it from repeatedly auto-starting after exiting PTVL to go do something else in Kodi. I would love to have the Auto-Start feature as I had used it in previous versions of PTVL successfully.

Please let me know if you need any further info to diagnose the issue.

Thanks!
This 0.59 release makes me happy... I was getting tired of reinstalling meh skins all the time.
Very cool to see them built right in. With all the great skins out there I'm honored to have a couple of mine make the distribution.
I have another skin in the works that I'll be releasing soon.

Keep up the good work Lunatixz Smile
Custom skin "Titian" updated and fixed minor bugs
Anyone can found it on Github: https://github.com/tromyl/Skin_Titian

nice @tromy!

I stumbled on this nice minimal view that I thought was nice if anybody is up to the challenge.

Can you set your idle time to 1min and tell me if the screen saver starts?

I know right! super weird. Just tested it setting at 1 min and it didnt start still. Issued a windows fix (reboot) and it started! made some movement to see if it would start again and worked again. Moved it from 1 to 2 minutes and it stops working. So somewhere between the 1-2 min mark "something" happens.

My next test will be to leave it in that idle state to see if it shuts off. Screensaver aside, my main problem is that it wont shutoff after 60 min of being idle. I will update after work with my findings.

Hate troubleshooting time problems haha all this waiting!

Cheers!
Cheers!

I know what the problem is... I just don't' understand the cause, why on most instances of Kodi it's fine... but for some it's not.

Ya the system didnt shutdown after being idle 4 hours. The screensaver kept going though!

If you need anything else from me for testing let me know!

Thanks again Luna!

I really like the look of that. Hopefully someone takes on the challenge.

Holy crap that thread has the first skin I ever made in it! I haven't seen it for years. The memories lol that's awesome
I finally got my HDHomeRun streams to load and create channels using auto tune (thanks Lunatixz). The 23 channels loaded fine on first run of PTVL, but on subsequent openings of the add-on it only displays 1 or 2 channels in the guide initially. After 20 minutes or so, most of the channels are available, but this seems excessive. Is there a setting I need to set, or is this normal behavior? I'm running on a Mac mini with the latest Kodi, and all mc2xml and stream files are stored locally.

The problem i have ran into is now my bumpers dont work anymore. They worked before the update and now nothing i have also reset everything to default and still nothing. is anyone else having this problem?

I've been having problems with Trailers & Bumpers for month... Idk what happened but they were working then one day, no more, even though I didn't change a thing. If I have trailers/bumpers enabled I get errors when it rebuilds every channel that the getTrailers list out of range or whatever, still doesn't work today.

I am running on OPenElec 5.5 using Aeon MQ 5 Helix mod. What skin are you testing with? If I remove PTVL screensaver and suspend work as expected.

I have tested with the Confulnce default skin and Rapier and have the same issue with both.
What is your ss idle time set to?
@ shinedou log of screensaver not working pls

Log is below. This log is after a restart of Kodi and I let it run for more than 30 mins without touching Kodi or starting PTVL.

I am running Openelec 5.5 with Aeon MQ5 Helix mod. My Kodi screensaver is set to DIM at 3 minutes. I also have Kodi set to SUSPEND at 30 minutes. I do know this has not always been an issue. It started after one of the updates in the last month or so. Sorry I cannot be more specific with what version it started on.

His response is going to be read the first three posts. There are instructions there on how to speed up. Your mc2xml configuration is probably full of channels you aren't using as well so ptvl will have to move past that stuff.

(2015-03-08, 01:29)RockDawg Wrote: I am still having major problems and 0.5.9 has not resolved them. As I've mentioned before, I am having a really slow EPG. When I hit the select button on my remote, PTVL brings up the blank EPG background and it takes 10-15 seconds to populate the programs and logos. Navigating through the channels is slow. Moving between the 6 channels showing on the guide aren't too bad but there is about .5 second lag. Trying to navigate to a channel off screen is worse and the lag can vary between 2-5 seconds usually. If I make the mistake of trying to navigate to my music videos channel (folder based), forget it. We're talking minutes. Sometimes up to 10 or so. Even exiting is problematic as it sits on removing file locks for at least 30 seconds or more. All my channels are based on local network content. No internet streaming.

Here is my log: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=65...file%2clog

I do see a bunch of "ERROR: XFILE::CFile::Rename - Error renaming file smb://WOPR/xbmc_stuff/PTV Live Shared Channels/cache/FileLock.dat" messages. Are they my problem? Would really love to get this sorted out and get back my reliable PTVL.

I've had this issue and found that taking out the LastResetTime line from settings2.xml brings everything back to normal speed.
Any ETA on the DVR feature? Smile

That looks awesome. Hopefully @tromy can make it a reality. I've been looking for a light art free skin for a while.

Also that image looks to me like it may be part of the Bello Kodi skin (probably what livetv looks like in Bello).
