Subtitles by default when playing a DVD?
#1
Each time I play a DVD the subtitles are shown. How could I deactivate subtitles by default? And can I set a special language to start with when playing the DVD, e.g. I want to have the movie in English?

And how can I come tot the main menu of a DVD? Clicking the icon "Main menu" does not show it.

While playing any video, bring up the on-screen-display controls -> Audio options ->

Then disable subtitles, then scroll down and "save as default for all movies".

Many thanks, Ned.

Is there a way to set a default language?

OK, there the right language already is set, but the DVDs have another one.

Hmm, not sure. Maybe this add-on will catch it: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=153783

It gives some more robust controls over audio and subtitle languages.
