Could Tvheadend de-interlace a stream before it passes it on? I would like to have the de-interlace work done on the server side, my clients arent too powerful!

There has been work on a transcoding feature which I believe could perform de-interlacing, although I'm not sure if its usable over HTSP (what XBMC uses) or just HTTP.

transcoding should work in xbmc too. it's been added in the add-on before it was merged into tvheadend. but it needs some xml file copied to your skin directory iirc
