I've been changing my Bluray discs to MKV using MakeMKV and they all play correctly except some of them don't respond to 'next chapter' even though chapters are there and playable in VLC Player. I tried re doing them with mkvmerge and they work fine even though it becomes a two stage process and I mostly get the forced subtitles and chapter files of web sites. I don't understand why some work fine with MakeMKV and some don't. Can anyone shed some light on this?

What version of XBMC are you using? I've noticed that nightly Gotham (v13) builds are acting up when one tries to change chapters.

First of all, upgrade to 12.2 - it contains many fixes and no changed features over 12.1

Then please play the file, assert that the problem still exists and upload a debug log (wiki)

Just upgraded to 12.2 and it made no difference, still doesn't do 'next chapter' in MKV's created by MakeMKV. I'll try upgrading MakeMkv to it's latest and see if that makes a difference.
