If you could reach the saved game manager via the game menu it would be fine.

I dropped this because the Saved Game Manager isn't merged yet, and that depends on the big database replacement so it's a ways away.

Firstly I'd just like to see a working save system, so I could use Leia as my daily driver (it's installed as portable currently), but that's just my selfish immediate needs!

We don't have a database that can be merged to master, but at least I can support a single save per game for autosave/autoload.

The save game manager is a great idea. Perhaps the OSD could have Save/Load State (plus a button combo shortcut for each for those of us using pads with enough buttons), then a link to the save game manager.

Good idea.

Achievements are a great idea, but I think until the userbase is large enough to create community-based achievements, maybe servers etc, that is maybe a little redundant until then.

Thumbnails are essential for Save States

Thumbnail creation can cause stuttering, so we might have to disable it for autosave. I'll work my magic and see what I can do.

& nice for SRAM saves too

Until my libretro VFS pull request is finished and all cores are adapted, we can't really reason about files on the hard drive. I'll do some thinking for SRAM thumbnails.

The ability to rename save states from the Save Game Manager screen would be good at times

This was a feature of the Saved Game Manager back when it existed. I'm planning for more powerful labeling so that gameplay data can be used to train reinforcement learning algorithms.

The ability to share saves between users, to import & export saves from the Save Game Manager screen may be handy, from local or online servers, or flash drives etc.

Cloud storage is a no-brainer.

Whilst I'm thinking about sharing data between users or kodi installs, am I correct in thinking once the library function is complete that I will be able to simply add a games section to my advancedsettings.xml for mysql & share games & progress across all my kodi installs anywhere in the house? Cos that would be a game changer (pun intended!) for me.

I'm planning a way to share saves and gameplay data p2p.
