Hello,
I attempted to follow these steps using a mini install and this script as a base. After completing the listed procedure, upon reboot the OS splash appears and a single progress dot highlights followed by a black screen and loss of signal reported by my receiver. The OS however seems to be running because the ZFS array on this machine is still accessible from the network.
xbmc@NAS1:~$ dmesg | pastebinit

xbmc@NAS1:~$ cat ~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log | pastebinit

xbmc@NAS1:~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | pastebinit

xbmc@NAS1:~$ DISPLAY=:0 vdpauinfo | pastebinit
Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Error creating VDPAU device: 1

xbmc@NAS1:~$ dpkg -l |grep mesa | pastebinit

Luckily the server as a whole is in such a state that a full OS reinstall is an easy task if need be. However, if there's any troubleshooting that can be done to resolve this issue without such a measure I would appreciate the help.
