@Snippo I did have some issues getting the upstart script going on my OP install. Just checked that install. I get bumped to command prompt and use
sudo xinit /user/bin/xbmc
to start... I figured I set up the user account wrong. As it requires a log on. On desktop I skip xbmcstart.sh
