If i allow the video to end without stopping there is no crash. Is anyone else seeing this issue? I'm using xbmc-beta from AUR which is built from Gotham Beta1.you mean this? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xbmc-devel/
if yes, you won't get any support here, as it uses external ffmpeg
Actually this: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xbmc-beta/ but that also uses external ffmpeg it looks like. It seems like the problem is also occurring on ubuntu systems as well however.

something must have gone wrong with mesa or kernel. on my kabini all was fine, then I upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04. When I stop a video it segfaults.
I have the same problem on some videos but not getting a stack trace with GDB. I am using Kernel 3.13.6, wsnipex's mesa repo per this guide, and unstable PPA on 13.10 64bit.
I'm having the same issue, I installed gdb but when xbmc crashes this way it doesn't produce a stack trace. I'm also using 3.13.6.
