Is WOL confirmed for the NUC from S5? Still haven't had any concrete answers yet..

I haven't read anything about WOL, maybe this is just a step too far for reviewers to set up. Once they start shipping and people get to play around with them I'm sure we'll have some concrete answers.

And can you use the internal pulse eight HDMI-CEC? or should I go external just to be safe?

I'm not familiar with HDMI-CEC but this might be useful to you? Haven't read anything else regarding HDMI-CEC and this NUC though...

Once freed from the chassis the included heatsink and fan (HSF) is the most dominant feature on the underside of the board, but it also includes Intel’s custom solutions, or HTPC, header which provides access to HDMI CEC and the REC_LED functionality. Unfortunately a more forgiving chassis with space for the Pulse-Eight internal CEC adapter is not yet available, so it was not possible to test this feature. When one does appear, we’ll be sure to grab a 2.0mm-to-2.4mm USB adapter and give it a go.

If you saw the recent Intel Haswell NUC D54250WYK announcment and thought "hey, that would make a pretty slick HTPC" - go ahead and sit down. Not only does it have all the good stuff like IR, SATA, USB 3.0, etc. that we mentioned before. It also has the HTPC_HEADER on board.

Unfortunately, there isn't space in the stock chassis to mount the Pulse-Eight internal CEC adapter so a custom enclosure will be required to get the most out of it. That said, frankly I don't care - this is awesome news!

Hopefully someone steps up to make a suitible enclosure or we will have to do something on Kickstarter Smile.
