23.976 is fixed on bay trail. Even on ivy bridge you can do 23.976 you will just get frame drops.

But if you get frame drops then you're not doing 23.976 are you?

Sure you're playing 23.976 content (which you could also do with Sandy Bridge ISTR), but as you're not displaying it at its native frame rate you either get frame drops, or reclock/drop/dupe audio and sync playback to display to avoid these (but get audio issues instead)

But Bay Trail hits 23.976 precisely avoiding all of this?

Ivy bridge does 23.973 (maybe a bit better with more recent updates). To get more accurate they needed newer silicon. Yes you will drop frame every six minutes when playing 23.976 content to a 23.976 display but it's not as gross of an error as playing 23.976 content at 24.00.

Fritsch, one of the xbmc devs has confirmed that bay trail graphics have 23.976 working properly.
