Do you mean mvc encoded 3d? This is the encoding found on bluray disks. xbmc does not play mvc.
It is possible to transcode MVC stuff to full HD SBS or TAB H264 isn't it (rather than half-resolution)? AIUI you can convert MVC to 3840x1080 or 1920x2160 in H264 in an MKV folder and then output these via a frame packed mode over HDMI. Don't think it's widespread but I believe it is possible? No idea if XBMC supports it - as I don't have a 3D setup.
