Is it possible to grant access only to a specific google drive folder?

Authorization is by scope (read only, read write) and only applicable to all or nothing. But there is a scope for application's data only. Presumably an application can create a data directory that only itself has access to, but I'm not sure if that folder shows up in the web browser version of Google Drive (if it doesn't, how do you add files to it?).

Best bet is create another account and share files and folders with it that you want to permit access to. Then enlist that account.
