More further insight. I had some users who used KODI 17.1 on a different platform and it worked. When I tested KODI 17 on MAC, I saw the error was related to urlib, so I immediately assumed KODI 17, at least on MAC, is using Python3 which works differently with urlib then Python2. I intend on getting to the bottom of it soon, as I finished setting up a workstation running MAC OS X with KODI 16 and KODI 17. Just need to find time to debug. KODI 16 on MAC works fine with this plugin.
