While watching any video file, about every ten minutes or so the video will freeze for 1 to 2 seconds, and then do a fast-forward sort of catch-up action and go on playing. The audio plays perfectly smoothly and normally throughout, it's only video that freezes.
It's a minor glitch, but especially annoying because I don't understand it.
- Only happens in XBMC, not in VLC
- Asus F50S laptop, Win7-64, Nvidia GeForce GT 120M, driver ver. 9.18.13.2049, output via HDMI to TV
- Files streaming from a Samba server over 100baseT ethernet, through a Linksys WRT54Gv2 router with DD-WRT, also connected via ethernet (server is more than capable of keeping up with a single 100baseT line)
- Happens consistently with any video file, regardless of size or type
My guess is there's a setting in XBMC that will fix this - anyone have any ideas?
