Linux OpenElec Sporadic Crashes & Resets
#1
Hi all,

I'm very new to this forum, but believe I've posted this request for help in the right forum. If not I offer my sincere apologies (I understand how frustrating it can be to moderate a forum!)

I've been having some issues having recently installed OpenElec with XBMC.

PC Spec:

Relatively new ASUS Motherboard
16gb DDR 3
Intel i3 3.3ghz quad core processor
Onboard Graphics card (output via HDMI)
2 x SATA HDD (320gb containing XBMC and 2tb HDD for media)
XBMC version is Frodo

The problem:

XBMC seems to crash without cause at any time - sometimes the unit resets itself and sometime the screen simply freezes. Although I've tried to replicate steps to cause the error deliberately often the same steps simply work without a hitch. Huh

Having read about, I believe the PC spec should be far more than XBMC needs (especially with a lean OpenElec install over Windows etc).

I've run XBMC in debugging mode for most of this afternoon and have uploaded all of the log files should anybody be knowledgeable enough to decipher them (or at least point me in a good direction for testing) I've be very grateful. Blush

They can be downloaded from http://www.granthamdiscohire.co.uk/Logfiles.zip

I can't really pin down anything that would seem to cause the problem - I've either disbled or uninstalled every add-on that I can find... so really am at a loss!

Many thanks for any help that you can provide.

Best regards,

Marc
