NFS Shares Empty - Freenas
#1
Greetings all,

I've done a search and can't see anyone else with this same issue.

I'm not sure if it's with XBMC or Freenas 9.1.1

I have created the NFS shares in Freenas, and can sucessfully browse to them in XBMC.

However, the directories are shown as empty ?

i.e. browse to nfs://192.168.0.1/mnt/Volume_1/Movies shows nothing ?

Cheers

Is it empty when you are adding the folder as a source or when you are accessing the folder to play the files? If it's the former, then that's the expected behavior.

The latter. It finds nothing to scan, and browsing it in the file manager shows it as empty.

Have you verified the folder/file permissions on the server to be sure others can at least read them?

I'm 99% certain on this. The share was created to map all users to share the permissions of user 'media' who owns the directory and has full permissions.

Ensure that the user media was recursivly applied to all subfolders of your export aswell.

also you can provide:

debug log (wiki)

/etc/exports (if this exists on freenas?)

ls -al <path to exported directory)
