Hello everyone im having some trouble getting xbmc to remember my audio settings..
It's should be WASAPI but after restart it's going back to default as directsound. I cant seem to find anyone else on this forum with the same problem.

It's beginning to annoy that i have to change this every single time i start xbmc.

What type of connection are you using? If HDMI then what are you connected to, AVR or TV?

But i cant see how that makes XBMC forget the settings.. ?

If your AVR is not on when you start XBMC then with a HDMI connection it will be marked by the OS as not available therefore XBMC will ignore the HDMI output and look for next available audio output for sound.

Always ensure the device connected to the HDMI whether AVR or TV is on before starting XBMC.

OMG, why havent i thought of that, thank you very much for your help that made the difference, it seems that it "remembers" the settings now..

No problem, unfortunately HDMI is too clever for it own good sometimes with it's 2 way communication requirement between connected devices.
