Sorry, should have made that more clear: the whole package consisting of kernel, system and including the rpi firmware 
€dit: to clarify:
as soon as I switch to one of these experimental builds, my drives stop appearing under files.
I can, however, add them by hand if I modify the corresponding config file - but this lists them even if they are not mounted or not connected...
