As the black screen issue with Tvheadend resolved I stopped testing development builds but decided to test this to see what all the fuzz about popcornmix's speeds improvments.
To my suprise I'm getting only black screens when opening live tv streams (sd h264).

I've seen a couple of reports of black screens on playback with latest gotham builds.
The solution seems to be to change something in settings.
Unfortunately I've not seen any good reports of what exactly cured the black screen.
"I played with the settings and got it working" is about all the information.

So, if you can fix it by playing with the settings, I'd like to know what fixed it. (Probably something in audio, but could be video).
The other option is to move .xbmc/userdata/guisettings.xml away, and see if that can play videos (you'll have to set up your non-default settings again).
