It doesn't look like any DMT modes on your display support multiple refresh rates.

OK. Anyway, it means I have to use CEA mode and currently I haven't found a way to make XBMC output video in full range, even though hdmi_pixel_encoding=2 makes the GUI run in full range.

Even if I accept that the RPi/XBMC can't do full range and just calibrate my TV to it outputting limited range (and removing hdmi_pixel_encoding=2 to make the GUI run in limited range too), there's still the issue of why the thumbnails appear as they would in full range mode, regardless of which range I'm running at?
