Hi

I've recently updated xbmc to the latest version via the command line (dpkg -install *xbmc*.deb. The process completed fully but now the atv2 won't start, it just reboots only getting as far as the apple logo.

I cannot restore as the latest firmware is not jb able. I can get it to be assigned an ip on my router but I can't even ssh into it. Can anyone help? To make matters worse the atv is my brothers!

Also Is anyone actively working on the atv2 jailbreak?

Which exact version did you install. The rebootcycle issue should be fixed as of this nightly build...
