Android Changing XBMC Output Display with Android?
#1
Hello,

i have this configuration:

-HTPC in living room
-Main LCD in Living Room(1080p)
-Secondary LCD in Sleeping room(1080p)
-The HTPC is controlled with a Harmony Remote in the Living room
-When watching movies in Sleeping room I use the Android Remote App

My problem is that I cannot duplicate Windows Desktop, I don't know why, so I have to enhanched Desktop on the two LCDs.....
So XBMC is either on LCD1 or 2, for now I manually change the output Display in XBMC, which is not really fine.

My question is, is there an android remote app which can change Output sreen with a single button press?
Or does anyone have another smart solution for me?

What do you mean with get more clients?

Get another client pc for the sleeping room or start xbmc twice on the living room pc.....?
I think the second is not possible....?!?

He means that you need to get a separate client hardware (HTPC with XBMC, Android media player with XBMC, Raspberry Pi with XBMC) for each display.

XBMC + Hardware = 1 client

XBMC does not support multiple displays, as that is not supported by XBMC or any other video media player that I know of.

Workaround you be to get a fancy receiver with two HDMI output ports in your living-room, as then you switch output displays using your receiver.

But you can not output XBMC running on one HTPC to two displays at the same time.
