Today updated to Nightly build R17818 but nothing changed.
Tried multiple files all the same outcome.

It should be possible to get it working, hopefully i made a mistake.

I'm just waiting on the Rii i25A keyboard/RF remote to arrive, which will hopefully work without too much modification required.
I never did manage to work out how to get the Ouya to power on and off from the remote.

Bagpuss, that remote looks pretty perfect.. very much like my beloved Boxee Box remote.. Please share your results once you receive it.. I'd like to know, especially, if you're able to find a way to power on the NUC with that remote.

On a related note, I was able to find a Pronto HEX code to emulate an MCE remote somewhat. I have a discrete power OFF (actually standby, I think).. but I can't find a discrete code for power ON that actually works..

I'm hoping it will arrive in the next couple of days. Will post results as soon as I've had chance to muck about with it.

With regards to power on, and power off commands, then I've programmed my Harmony using IR codes from an XBOX360 media remote. This works perfectly for pretty much all XBMC operations, including powering the NUC on and off.

One of the reasons I like the i25, is because it is capable of learning IR remote commands from another remote. That way, I can teach it power on commands from the XBOX remote, but make volume up and down use the commands for my Yamaha AVR. It was the only remote I could find which has the combination of RF (for the keyboard/mouse etc.) and IR learning for other commands.

Hi Geekzilla,

That is only possible when I turn off hdmi bypass.
But I have tried that before, turn bypass off. Then xbmc
shows my harman instead of Panasonic but no difference.

Can you post the mediainfo logs on the files you are having an issue with.

Have now got this remote, and it's working brilliantly.

Rather than clutter up this thread with chat about it, I've posted my findings and configuration in a new thread here.

1) I'd put in the definitie YES category. I watched a bit of a full Dark Knight Rises m2ts rip...looked very good. + Kids watched entire Smurfs 2 BR rip and I didn't notice any stuttering, audio dropouts, etc.

CPU cores around 10% or less during playback from NAS.

2) I'm sticking to Confluence for this unit since primarily used by 5 & 7 yr-old. Confluence runs very well and fluid.

Bonus Answer) I also cycled through 4 remotes in the living room too to try and reproduce unit turning ON accidentally. I did NOT see this occur. Only remote unit responded to correctly was the MCE remote so no issue seen there either.

Only thing that can be improved is startup...upstart script could likely be tweaked a bit since seems to pause for approx 3 secs once OS loaded and displaying login TTY.
That being said power button to Confluence menu is only approx 25-30 seconds...haven't timed exactly either.
