Why do you think it is limited? I'm using 2x 300's and a 600 to control my 2820 running oE 4.0.

Works perfectly setup as MCE remotes. Full IR control including powering on/off.

I have had another go with the hormony 300i setup as Microsoft xbmc, I still can't get it to bring up the contex menu or the video info, both are mapped in the harmony software. Other than that it is working well but I need to get these last ones working to replace the flirc dongle.

I do own the Logitech Harmony 300 and all my buttons work (via IR - Openelec - since v 3)..

Is that using the Microsoft xbmc setup or a different make and model?

When trying to add this device it gives a caution sign and advises that I enter the specific make and model for my device. Ignoring that I checked the buttons that are mapped (info and menu specifically) all are working again except info and menu. Don't know what I am doing wrong.
EDIT: info is working so it is just the menu button to activate the context menu that I need.

Try...

Microsoft -> Model 1039 (ignore the warning)

or

Microsoft ->MCE Keyboard

Thanks I will give it a go. When using MCE keyboard I presume I map c to menu, x to stop, p to play etc?

Context Menu is activated by pressing Guide button IIRC

I think Menu is "M" and Context menu is "C".

So I tried both the first seems to be the media center PC ( guide brings up codec/video info) all works except context menu.
Second MCE keyboard everything works except the directional buttons leaving me unable to navigate (I remember trying this in the past)
EDIT: sorry I see now that guide brings up codec info when playing a video and context menu when navigating the home screen (I am used to flirc with keyboard short cuts)

The * and # buttons need putting on buttons too.

It's a simple 5 min job programming up the context menu and the two above. [think one does subtitle control]

I have tried just dragging and dropping to map the buttons like I have with all the other devices this just seems a bit more hit and miss. But It is going well enough to use with out flirc now, lack of direct access to EPG and live TV is no a deal breaker. (Just shows how good the flirc is but I need it for the ouya more).

Tested Microsoft MCE Keyboard, XBMC and Media Center PC on the Harmony 300 and the Media Center PC is by far the best, it's the one that needs less mapping to be exactly like my MS RC6 Model 1039.

Yeah I have tried quite a few different models now and I agree it is by far the best. To get power off/on to work I just need to disable WOL? (I think I remember reading that last time I tried to get the harmony working with the nuc)

Works out of the box with OE 4.x, don't know about other OS.

I am using OE 4.3? (Today's) but when I power off it just restarts xbmc.
