Req Auto add Stub file
#1
Is it possible to add a auto add Stub file function?

Once you insert your DVD/Blueray movie into XBMC i would like an option to add that movie as a stub file to either a fixed location on my HDD or to choose where to put it.

My Movies has an option to add a DVD to your list by checking the movies diskid and check what movie it is. If there is a similar way to check the inserted movie against a DB and return the values of the movie and add a stub with the correct setup (Name (year)[.dvd|.Blueray|..].disc) it would be so much easier to add new movies to your library without having to exit XBMC just to add a stub file.

haven't read details, but I suppose it's not free. Also it's doing way more than we need. What we could do is to setup our own DB (probably best community driven) and if a disc is not yet in there we prompt the user to enter the name of the disc

It's one way, seems nice and good

I read att the bottom of this page "http://www.mymovies.dk/how-to/written-do...MC+Scraper" something about xbmc not suppoting disc id but someday might and that the my movies scraper easaly culd be extended to be able to suport disc id search

One way is actualy just to prompt me (the user) to input the title and then search "imdb" och som other scraper for the real name (or english name) and get title and year and maby ask if i want a spacific media flag (.dvd or .blueray)
