Thats good news, magical fixed Wink you could if it happens again, look at audio type being crackled, is it aac, mp3, ac3, dts and look at your OS config even Chrome and whatever how you seeing this in chrome, look at the Chrome settings/flash settings or whatever. Logs that would help... idk but Im sure you can press F12 and put Chrome in debug mode, idk.

XBMC crashes on my i3 haswell nuc when I switch TV channels (TVHeadend 3.9.470 on cubietruck). Everything else (movie playback or playback of tvheadend recordings) seems to work fine. My windows 8.1 notebook works fine with channel switching. Anyone got an idea?

Hi All,

I've been updated XBMCBuntu to the latest unstable (13.0-BETA3 Git:2dcc855), but there is no sound and the video frame rate is very slow for HD videos.

dmesg: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7205441/
xorg.0.log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7205442/
dpkg | mesa: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7205444/
xbmc.log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7205455/

vdpauinfo throws an error:
display: localhost:10.0 screen: 0
Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Error creating VDPAU device: 1

But my PC is built with AMD: [AMD/ATI] Wrestler [Radeon HD 6310]

Any idea?

yes, fresh install with the ISO from the 1st post.

No, I've installed and configured many of services. I don't want to reinstall the full system. It would be much more complicated in my case.

I've updgraded Ubuntu to the 13.1 release but what should I do more? Is 14.04 necessary? Is there a changelog regarding to the changes on the filesystem?

Running 13beta3 on nvidia HTPC, Ubuntu 12.10 host O.S. connected via HDMI to a Denon dolby decoder and then to a Sony projector HW55ES.
XBMC can identify 3D (SBS) sources with filename tags and prompt for view mode. But if I select 3D, the gui is rendered in 3D mode but the 3D switch is not sent on HDMI and the projector doesn't go in 3D mode (you have to do manually). It's a minor issue, but...

That thread is about xbmcbuntu v13. Please stay on topic.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

OMG OMG OMG Big Grin!

Have been waiting for something like this since I installed an AC wifi card in my Intel NUC (which unfortunately is not supported out of the box in lubuntu 12.10, had to upgrade the Linux kernel, was kind of a mess)...

Just a quick question: It is safe to, after the installation, point the XBMC ppa to the unstable one and update to beta 3, right?
Reply
the unstable ppa is already enabled on the beta builds
